Amy Warren

Amy Warren holds two Master's Degrees: an Individualized Ed.M. from HGSE and an M.A. in Special Education from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Elementary Education from the College of William and Mary. During her seven years as a special education teacher in Greenwich, Connecticut and Arlington, Virginia, she encountered children from a wide range of cultural, socioeconomic and linguistic backgrounds.

She has worked with children and their parents with varying degrees of numeracy, literacy and severity of learning challenges. Amy's interests lie in assessment issues and with helping general and special educators better accommodate the special needs children in their classrooms. Currently, Amy is an Ed.D. candidate at HGSE. Amy is studying the use of dynamic assessment methods such as MATHPLAN which she authored while studying with Judah Schwartz. She now lives in Charles County, Maryland, with her husband and three young children.
